Cationic Asphalt Emulsions
Wholesale Cationic Asphalt Emulsions
Our cationic asphalt emulsions are ready-to-use bitumen emulsions supplied across the standard rapid-, medium-, and slow-setting grades for road construction, maintenance, and surface treatment contractors.
Each batch is produced from our own cationic emulsifier stock and quality-tested before bulk tanker dispatch, giving contractors a consistent, road-ready product without on-site emulsification.

What Are Cationic Asphalt Emulsions Used For?
A cationic asphalt emulsion is bitumen pre-processed into a water-based, sprayable liquid using a cationic emulsifier, so it can be applied at or near ambient temperature instead of the 150°C+ required for straight bitumen. Once sprayed or mixed, the emulsion "breaks" — the water separates out and the bitumen droplets coalesce back into a continuous, adhesive film bonded to the aggregate.
Different grades break at different speeds (rapid-, medium-, or slow-setting) to suit different jobs: rapid-setting grades for chip seals and surface dressing where fast trafficking is needed, medium-setting grades for tack coats and recycling, and slow-setting grades for slurry seals and mixed applications where a longer working time is required.
