Cold Patch Additives
SAYKAT (Industrial Cold Patch Additive)
SAYKAT is a liquid adhesion-promoting additive engineered for cold mix and cold patch asphalt production, enabling road crews to place durable repairs without hot-mix plant access.
Formulated for bulk wholesale supply, SAYKAT maintains workability at low ambient temperatures while building long-term bond strength as the mix cures in service.

What Is a Cold Patch Additive?
A cold patch additive is a liquid chemical dosed into an aggregate-bitumen mix so it can be applied without heating — unlike conventional hot mix asphalt, which requires temperatures above 140°C to remain workable. The additive promotes adhesion between the bitumen film and the aggregate at ambient temperature, so the mix stays workable in a bag or stockpile and bonds properly once placed in a pothole or trench.
Cold patch additives are the standard tool for road maintenance crews who need to repair damage immediately, in any season, without mobilizing a hot-mix plant. They're widely used by municipalities, utility contractors, and highway agencies for pothole repair, emergency trench reinstatement, and general road maintenance where speed and all-weather performance matter more than a permanent hot-mix repair.
