Polymer Modifiers
Wholesale Liquid Latex
Our liquid latex is a polymer modifier dosed into bitumen to improve elasticity, adhesion, and resistance to cracking and rutting in polymer-modified asphalt mixes.
Supplied as a stable aqueous dispersion, it blends into hot bitumen with standard high-shear mixing equipment without specialized handling.

What Is Liquid Latex Used for in Bitumen Modification?
Straight, unmodified bitumen is a viscoelastic material that can become brittle in cold weather and soft in heat, which limits how well a pavement resists cracking and rutting across a full range of service temperatures. Liquid latex — a water-based dispersion of natural or synthetic rubber — is blended into hot bitumen to form a polymer network within the binder that improves its elasticity and temperature range.
The result is a polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) that recovers its shape after deformation instead of cracking, resists rutting under heavy or slow-moving traffic, and holds up better under thermal cycling. Liquid latex modification is widely used for high-stress applications — heavily trafficked highways, bridge deck waterproofing, and stress-absorbing membrane interlayers — where standard bitumen doesn't offer enough durability.
